TGP's & MGP's have made me quite a lot of money, but building paysites can do it also. The key is, find a niche you enjoy, and therefore you are more willing to put the work it takes into it. However, trust me when I tell you that if you give something "worthwhile" people will give them to you. Now, it might not be their work email or #1 personal email... it will likely be a yahoo or hotmail or one they don't check everyday. The point is, you can do it. And if people do sign up, you have alot of opportunity to sell products/services down the road to them. If they are buying a product already, there is also the upsell opportunity.
