I haven’t been focusing on this blog too much as some of you know.  I did want to update some of my faithful followers as to what I have been doing.  Yeah, I am still making money in porn… but for a while now I have been trying to find ways to make money in the mainstream sector.  Mostly, it was unsuccessful and I was thinking of just staying with adult!

Recently however I found a coach to teach me how to make money with Pay Per Click (PPC) marketing and using non adult affiliate programs.  I cant recommend PPC-Coach highly enough.  Within a month I learned how to make $100/day profit (yes profit!) by investing very little.  It cost big money to promote adult, but I am getting $1-$10 conversions for like .02 a pop!!

All the products that you want to sell online are ready.   You have already signed up with the Google Adsense program or with other affiliate marketing programs and you have already prepared the ad you want to post on your affiliate’s site.   You are all set to build your porn empire.  But is there anything else that you might have forgotten to prepare?   Maybe not.   But how about your landing pages?  Are they all set for your sites?  Are you even using landing pages?

Landing pages are simple web pages that visitors are directed to whenever they click a result in a web search or whenever they click a web ad.   For affiliate marketers, landing pages would refer to the web page where you, as a merchant, would want your potential customer to be directed to after clicking your ad.  Landing pages are, at most times, nothing really different from other web pages in a particular website, especially if the said website is an e-commerce site.   Some webmasters would even use the homepage of their websites as the landing page for their ads.  Are these adult webmasters making a big mistake?  Or should you follow the method of creating landing pages for your ads?

Well, you can always follow what most online retailers do, directing their potential customers to the homepages of their websites.  But if you want to achieve something more from your online business, and if you want to earn a lot of profits, you better create a special landing page for your web ads.  Why?  Here are a few reasons why you need to use landing pages for your web ads.  And take note, it would do you a lot better if you create a great landing page than a so-so one.   Let me open your eyes to how affiliate programs work (If you sell your own product this is vital) so that you can see how important affiliates are to their business.

Reason no. 1: It is the only way you earn conversions in an affiliate marketing program.

There are a variety of affiliate marketing programs today, but most of these programs let the merchant pay the affiliate on a pay per click basis.  For merchants, all you have to do is sign up with the program and submit your ad.   The program owner would then distribute your ad to various affiliates who would then place your ad on their websites.  Whenever your ad is clicked, a visitor would be directed to your landing page and you would have to pay the affiliate for his service.

As a merchant, you earn in an affiliate program through conversions—that is whenever a visitor that is directed to your site actually buys a product on your site.  Without these conversions, you actually earn nothing from the program.  Also, the more visitors that your affiliates have directed to your site, the larger would your expense be.  And the only way that you can recover from these expenses is through conversions.

Now, you won’t get any conversions if you have posted an ad on your affiliate’s site without an actual landing page for the potential customer to be redirected into.  It’s just like advertising a product without actually having a store to sell your product.  Your advertisement may be enticing enough to encourage people to purchase a product, but without the landing page, how will they know how to purchase the product

It is therefore important to have landing pages for your ads because it is the only way for you to earn something in an affiliate program.  Without landing pages, all you do is spend money paying your affiliates without actually getting anything in return.

Reason no. 2: Other web pages may just not be enough.

Many people make the mistake of making their website’s homepage as the landing page for their ads.  The same is true for those who make use of other pages like a “contact us” page or a product page.  Homepages are often designed to serve multiple users and contains a lot of links to other pages or to other websites.  The same goes with the other two pages mentioned.  If you want to be successful in an affiliate program, I am sure that you don’t want your landing page to cater to the needs of various people, most of which may not be really interested in your product.

When choosing a landing page, you must keep in mind why you are sending the prospect to it.  Therefore, your landing page must be relevant to the keywords and the contents you placed on your ad.  It is also important that the landing page can induce your visitor to take action—that is to purchase your product or at least provide leads for potential customers.

Merchants often sign up into an affiliate marketing program with these things in mind: to save on advertising expenses and to gain more profit.  But if you get into an affiliate marketing program without actually having a landing page for the affiliates, you’ll end up paying too much without getting anything in return.  So if you still don’t have a landing page for your ads, you better start creating one now.  And don’t get us wrong; it isn’t enough for you to have just a landing page—it should be a great landing page!

Final Word

Now, lets review this concept for people that are selling someone elses products…  You need landing pages because most of these dopes don’t build them for you… and more importantly they are building them for the masses.  When you create your own landing page for your traffic, you can really provide a solid step by step process for them to convert.  This is another good reason to love your niche…  Who wants to build landing pages full of midgets in gimp outfits?

Creating a solid landing page on your site allows your message to be direct, consistent and specifically catered to the traffic that is coming in.  You can therefore set up numerous landing pages under one website.  This is very common in mainstream marketing, but not used enough in adult affiliate marketing.  How many times have you landed on an affiliate site or Thumbnail site that has Milfs, Asians, Teens, Gay Porn and 30 other niches on the same page.  That is why major business have “sections” dedicated to products…. laptops, desktops, keyboards, printers, etc.   Not just general computer sections.

Landing Pages Generate Better Profits For Me!!!

Do you use landing pages, or do you like to just send people to your home page?

Well, the first way is to sell websites that you have developed.  I have a site that I am thinking about selling that has made a ton of money in the past, but I just don’t have the time to focus on… It is a TGP site that I built a while back, and I just don’t “approve” the submissions.  I currently have 43,284 submissions to review… yeah, you read that right.  I just don’t have the time for it.  Anyway, if you are interested in making an offer…  the website is Sugar Free Porn.   If I get the right offer it will be yours.

Another way is to read an upcoming post from a good guy The University Kid I chat it up with from time to time that is sharing some of his secrets to success in mainstream marketing.  While I know how to profit from selling porn, I am trying to learn mainstreaming as well because… well… because there are like 7 gazillion people out there, and only about 4 gazillion like porn

Anyway, I thought this might be helpful for some of my customers who have also dabble in the world of mainstream too…  TUK is a good blogger, and he shows some cool tricks.  If nothing else, you will probably enjoy his writing style.

He makes a great point about blog readers:

“Of any blog, there are three kinds of readers.

1. The active reader who takes a serious interest. That is, commenting on most posts, plugging your blog when they see something they like.

2. The subscriber, who helps the metrics of your blog and occasionally buys or signs up for products and services you recommend.

3. The passive reader, who does not do anything but read posts. No comments, no subscription – nothing.”

The key to affiliate marketing success is to get people to buy…whether you are selling ipods, free credit reports, e-books or asian porn.  Chances are, it isn’t your product you are selling so you need to be able to provide some form of value that gets the prospect to become a buyer.  Similar so far right?

Well the truth is, mainstream affiliate marketers will actually have it pretty easy when making the transition.  Why you ask?  Because they have had more success selling a product that doesn’t necessarily sell itself.  Lets be honest, when you are selling adult affiliate programs the buyer has one hand on their wallet and their other hand on their… well you know.  If you have the right pictures, videos or whatever then they are quick to pay because you are dealing with a complete impulse buyer.  Last I checked, going to a website to fill in my information, then complete a few surveys, and then completing even more offers is not exactly easy… yet this is how many of the mainstream programs work.   If you have been able to convince someone that this is the right place to spend their time in mainstream, then you my friend are good at what you do.  I have played around in the mainstream world and have had very little success.

Adult marketing pays nicely though…  Yeah, the water is full of sharks… but most of the sharks don’t know what the hell they are doing.  People often get into adult because they want to be in the “industry”, but don’t put in the work that is required.  Let’s be honest, my ebook is based on learning how to be profitable in the industry quickly, but at the end of the day you have to actually work to make money… I don’t do it for you.  So how do you make money in adult?  Well let’s discuss that.

I am not going to break down the different niches, or the different types of adult sites because that is literally way too much information.  Lets just assume that you are going to create a “landing page” or in the adult world a thumbnail gallery.  You can create this with either a few movies, or even more pictures, and typically you will promote a specific website.  The nice thing here is that once the person decides they like what they see, it is going to be very easy to convert.  Why, well because they don’t have to go through 35 different surveys or fill out a number of different offers like netflix, or stamps.com, or sign up for a credit card.  Chances are, you told them that it will cost them $19.99 a month, or they can have a 3 day trial at $4.99 or whatever the price is…   So the buyer knows what they are getting  to begin with.  Now, hopefully like any other marketing partnership, you have talked with the company you are promoting and are familiar with their product.  This way you know what the buyer is actually going to be getting.  This helps you with the final big decision.

Do you want to take the one time lump sum payment, or go for recurring billing?  Me, I always go for recurring billing because I know that I am promoting the good site out there.  There are huge payouts for the lump sum guys, sometimes up to $100 to $200 for every person you get.  But the benefit of the recurring billing is when you get the person that sticks, forgets they signed up and just keeps getting billed, or the holy grail – the whale!  The whale is the guy that basically throws away every free dollar he makes on girls from cam sites… yeah, you can get lucky and be the guy that referred that whale and watch out!!!  The money will just FLOW!

Anyway, I hope this gives you a good idea of how similar the whole process can be… and if not, start researching the adult industry.  Those of you that give it a shot will be very happy.
