Things all affiliate marketers need to survive online

Every affiliate marketer is always looking for the dominant market that gives the biggest return. Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them. Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.
There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

3 marketing tips for online survival

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not combine all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

Another idea is to write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an supplementary page. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to action on the information. Each headline should attract the readers to try and read more, even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them above the fold at the very top side of your page so  they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.

Only two things can possibly take place with the web page alone: closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never to return again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified period, you will remind them of the product they thought they want later and will find out that the sale is closed. Make sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. Within reason, avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone reading them first. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not avail of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that is focusing on your target customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest.

Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.
Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The tactics given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can end up maintaining a good source of income and surviving in this business that not all marketers can do.
Besides, think of the huge paychecks you could be receiving just by following this advice..

Track and Analyze Your Website Traffic

Tracking and analyzing your web traffic is not only essential for the beginners but also for the websites that are on the web for a long time. If you are unable to know what kind of traffic is visiting the site, you can never understand what improvements will make the response even better. In fact tracking as well as analyzing becomes more important when you do get adequate traffic but very few of them get converted into sales. Now this is something that almost everyone knows that if the traffic is not generating adequate potential customers it is of no help for the online business. Here are few ways that can help you track the traffic and analyze their requirements and needs.

Google Analytics is an important tool that can tell you about the exact path the visitor took to reach your website. If the visitor has come to the web page through the search engine or mutually exchanged links then they can be considered the organic traffic. But if they have come from the banner ads or other sources where you had to make investments, then you will know if the investments were worth it or not. The software is efficient enough to note down important data like the referrer, time and date of visit, browser details and other information. You will need to put up code on the website to use these sorts of trackers.

Another useful source of traffic information can be the Internet service provider. They are the ones who have log files that keep track of each and every hit your website gets. You can get an access to these log files provided your ISP is allowing you to do so. You will need to sign up with them for this additional service and before doing this, make sure you will be able to access the original log files. Using this particular option you can at any point of time access the information. There are various types of log files available with the ISP.

Analyzing the access log files you can understand who all visited the site, what browser they use and how long they stayed back on the site. The referrer log files help you out with the information about the source from where the traffic has come. The agent log files provide information on the operating system and browser used by the visitor. There is another log file called error log which provides you with information on the errors occurred on the server and why the clients were sent back.

The analyzing software is also available to evaluate the information collected from the log files. If you are using good quality software for this purpose, you will surely get authentic analysis reports which will prove to be helpful in doing certain improvements to your website traffic. So use the best quality tracking and analyzing software for the website and learn everything about the traffic visiting your site. It will surely bring better yields in terms of business and sales.

How To Avoid Getting Your Adsense Account Terminated

Porn Star Lanny Barbie

Google, being the undisputed leader in search engines, is placing a high importance on the quality and relevancy of its advertisers.  Not that I blame them, after all, the company is public property.  In order to keep the shareholders and users of its engines happy, the quality of the returned results are given extreme scrutiny.

For this same reason, doing the wrong things in the Adsense and other forms of advertisements, whether intentionally or unintentionally, will result in a severe penalty, may get you banned and even have your account terminated.  Nothing like a good action taken to keep wrongdoers from doing the same things over again.

So for those who are thinking of getting a career in Adsense, do not just think of the strategies you will be using to generate more money. Consider some things first before you actually get involved.

Hidden texts.  Filling your advertisement page with text too small to read, has the same color as the background and using css for the sole purpose of loading them with rich keyword content and copy will earn you a penalty  that is given to those who are hiding links.

Page cloaking.  There is a common practice of using browser or bot sniffers to serve the bots of a different page other than the page your visitors will see.  Loading a page with a bot that a human user will never see is a definite no-no.  This is tricking them to click on something that you want but they may not want to go to.

Multiple submissions.  Submitting multiple copies of your domain and pages is another thing to stay away from.  For example, trying to submit a URL of an Adsense site as two separate URL’s is the same as inviting trouble and even possible termination.  Likewise, this is a reason to avoid auto submitters for those who are receiving submissions.  Better check first if your domain is submitted already on a certain search engine before you try to submit to it again.  If you see it there, then move on.  No point contemplating whether to try and submit there again.

Link farms.  Be wary of who and what are you linking your Adsense to.  The search engines know that you cannot control your links in, but you can certainly control what you link to.  Link farming has always been a rotten apple in the eyes of search engines, especially Google.  That is reason enough to try and avoid them. Having anything higher than 100 links on a single page will classify you as a link farm so try not to make them higher than that.

Page rank for sale.  If you have been online for quite some time, you will notice that there are some sites selling their PR links or trading them with other sites.  If you are doing this, expect a ban sometime in the future.  It is okay to sell ads or gain the links, but doing it simply because of your page rank is a way to get on search engines bad side.

Doorways.  This is similar to cloaking pages.  The common practice of a page loaded with choice keyword ads aimed at redirecting visitors to another “user-friendly” page is a big issue among search engines.  There are many seo firms offering this kind of services.  Now that you know what they actually are, try to avoid them at all costs.

Multiple domains having the same content.  In case you are not aware of it, search engines look at domains IP’s, registry dates and many others.  Having multiple domains having the same exact content is not something you can hide from them.  The same goes with content multiplied many times on separate pages, sub domains and forwarding multiple domains to the same content.

Many of the above techniques apply to most search engines and is not entirely for Google only.  By having a mindset that you are building your Adsense pages together with your pages for the human users and not for bots, you can be assured of the great things for your ads and sites.

Not to mention avoiding the wrath of the search engines and getting your Adsense and site account terminated altogether.

Make Money Using Quality Content to Get Traffic

Using content to get subscribers, prospects, build reputations and get traffic to your blogs can be very powerful… but ONLY if done right!

We are not talking about content on your own blogs here, but rather posts and content that you use on other sites to promote yours.

In school, we are all taught to always finish a story with a closing paragraph and so when we start writing to promote ourselves online, we do just that, complete with a close. Let us ask you this (actually quoted from a good Australian friend of ours named Dean)…

“If you close your content, wouldn’t that satisfy the reader’s appetite in such a way that that there was no need for them to go any further.”

In other words, why would they need to take action on anything and search for further information about the topic if you already gave it to them?

We thought about this a lot and the more we did, the more it made sense. Your content needs to be crafted in such a way that if a reader wants a closing paragraph, then why shouldn’t we link to it so the reader has to take the action we want (such as visit our site).

Some of our favorite movies are those which don’t finish with a happy ending. No, we are not masochists but they finish in such a way that leaves us wondering whether there’s going to be a next installment. It’s like you’ve built to a crescendo and the hero appears to have won but the last scene reveals something sinister brewing beneath the surface. Then the end credits roll and we all think…

“What the…????”

We want to know what happens; we want to know more but we’re going to have to wait until version 2 hits the big screen. With your content, the reader doesn’t need to wait because there are a couple of live links in our content with specific call to action instructions they can click on to find out more. And that’s exactly what we want them to do… isn’t it?

We are not saying you should finish your content in such a way that it doesn’t make sense but instead do it in a way to entice the reader to take a look out of curiosity at what we have got to offer.

There is a fine line between readers just reading content as opposed to reading and clicking through and that fine line in our opinion is the closing paragraph. Yes, the entire content itself needs to be interesting enough for them to continue reading but if they get to the end then you can be rest assured they were interested.  Post borrowed from http://www.johncow.com/
